At least two Killed, one missing after US strike on Iran’s Qeshm Island

TEHRAN, July 30 (YPA) – At least two people were killed and another remains missing after a US strike hit Qeshm city in Iran’s southern Hormozgan Province overnight, Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported, citing Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences.

In a statement, the university said rescue teams recovered the bodies of two victims from the rubble of a residential building in Qeshm city that was targeted in the attack.

Efforts are still underway to locate another child from the same family who remains missing.

The university said two injured children, aged 7 and 11, were previously rescued from beneath the rubble and transferred to medical facilities.

According to the latest medical reports, the children are in stable condition, with no immediate threat to their lives.

The university extended condolences to the bereaved family and said it has mobilized all available medical and emergency resources to care for the injured and support ongoing rescue operations.
