OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 27 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures on Monday at the Tayasir and Ein Shibli checkpoints in the northern Jordan Valley.
According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces tightened procedures at both checkpoints, causing severe traffic congestion and disrupting the movement of vehicles.
A report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the number of Israeli military checkpoints and gates across the Palestinian territories has exceeded 916, including 243 gates installed after October 7, 2023.
On Sunday, the occupied West Bank witnessed a widespread escalation of Israeli military restrictions, including the closure of several military checkpoints and iron gates, along with stricter inspection procedures. These measures significantly hindered the movement of Palestinians between cities and towns.
