Albanese: Settlers and Israeli army are committing “massacres” in West Bank

NEW YORK, July 25 (YPA) – UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, confirmed on Saturday that settlers and the Israeli army are working together to commit massacres against civilians in the West Bank, coinciding with the ongoing raids on Gaza.

Albanese said in a post on the X platform that what is happening reflects institutional behavior of the Israeli entity as a whole, not just individuals or Netanyahu’s government, adding: “Israeli civilians and the army are uniting their ranks. This is Israel.”

She called on the international community to impose a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel and to sever relations and trade with it in compliance with international law.

This coincided with data from the Ma’ata Center indicating that the occupation and settlers committed 6,856 violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem during June 2026, while the Wall Resistance Commission documented 11,074 attacks during the first half of this year.
