UAE-backed STC exposes biggest Saudi forgery operation, calls for angry protests

ADEN, July 20 (YPA) – The UAE-backed “dissolved” Southern Transitional Council (STC) revealed a major forgery operation executed by the “Saudi Special Committee,” targeting its armed forces’ official logo and creating suspicious social media accounts.

STC spokesperson Anwar Al-Tamimi stated on Facebook that the newly published logo and associated accounts are completely fabricated and entirely unaffiliated with the council. Al-Tamimi emphasized that these actions are part of an organized media disinformation campaign designed to spread confusion and disrupt public opinion.

He added that Saudi Arabia’s alleged forgery falls within ongoing efforts to target the “Southern ranks” and destabilize the media landscape through dubious platforms.

Separately, the STC’s Aden branch called for a massive public rally on Tuesday at Al-Junaidi Square in the Crater district. The demonstration aims to express firm rejection of Saudi guardianship and demand the immediate release of detainees and activists held in prisons controlled by Riyadh-backed forces.
