Yemen armed forces declare maritime navigation ban on Saudi Arabia
SANAA, July 20 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based armed forces of Yemen announced on Monday the imposition of a maritime navigation ban on Saudi Arabia under the principle of “blockade for blockade.
In a military statement, military spokesman Yahiya Sarie stated that the measure takes effect immediately upon the issuance of the statement.
He stressed the importance of the Yemeni people’s right to respond to the blockade with a blockade and to comprehensive escalation with comprehensive escalation, emphasizing their determination to enforce this policy.
The spokesman reiterated the armed forces’ full readiness for all possible options, warning that any reckless escalation by Saudi Arabia would be met with a comprehensive and severe response.

The military spokesman concluded by paying tribute to the Yemeni people for their participation in the mass rallies held under the slogan warning and mobilization.
He described also the turnout as unprecedented, and pledged to continue efforts to restore the people’s usurped rights and end the blockade, regardless of the consequences.
