BRUSSELS, July 18 (YPA) – The Belgian government has announced a ban on imports of products originating from Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Belgian news agency Belga reported on Saturday that the federal government discussed the issue of imports from the occupied Palestinian territories during its last cabinet meeting before the summer break.
During the meeting, which lasted until the early hours of the morning, the government decided to ban the import of products from the occupied Palestinian territories.
Details regarding the mechanism for implementing the decision and how it will be enforced on the ground are not yet clear.
