TEHRAN, July 15 (YPA) – The Iranian Army on Wednesday condemned a British parliamentary decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, calling the move “illegal” and a reflection of London’s “malice and double standards” in counter-terrorism efforts.
In an official statement, the army asserted that the decision is part of hostile Western policies targeting Iran’s military institutions. It emphasized that the IRGC serves as a primary counter-terrorism force in West Asia, adding that such pressures would not alter its stance or operations.
The army concluded its statement by reaffirming the absolute unity and cohesion among all branches of Iran’s military establishment, stating that the Army stands fully united with the IRGC to counter any threats or aggression aimed at the country’s security and sovereignty.
