RIYADH, July 15 (YPA) – Several regional airlines have suspended flights to Abha International Airport following a large-scale missile and drone attack that disrupted air traffic in southern Saudi Arabia and prompted international travel warnings.
Canada issued an urgent travel advisory, urging its citizens to avoid traveling to Abha International Airport due to the high risks posed by missile and drone attacks.
According to Khaleej Times, Emirati and Saudi airlines have canceled all flights to and from Abha International Airport.
A flydubai spokesperson said that the airline has canceled flights to the Saudi city of Abha from the UAE and other regional destinations, adding that it is closely monitoring the situation and contacting affected passengers.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s Air Cairo announced the cancellation of all flights to Abha following the closure of Abha International Airport to air traffic.
