Gaza Health Ministry: Death toll from ongoing Israeli aggression rises to 73,223

GAZA, July 12 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health office in the Gaza Strip announced, on Sunday, that the death toll from the Israeli genocide has risen to 73,223 martyrs and 173,654 injuries since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Strip, the ministry confirmed that Gaza hospitals received two new martyrs and 11 injuries in the past 24 hours.

It revealed that the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11 has reached 1,100 martyrs and 3,546 injuries, while 800 bodies have been recovered.

“Many victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them until this moment,” the ministry added.

It is worth noting that the Gaza Health Ministry announced the day before yesterday the addition of 96 martyrs to the cumulative death toll, after their data was completed and approved by the Martyrs’ Accreditation Committee since the beginning of June.
