Qatar’s former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani dies at 74

DOHA, July 12 (YPA) – The Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar announced on Sunday the death of the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

According to a statement carried by the Qatar News Agency:

“With hearts that believe in God’s will and decree, the Amiri Diwan mourns the nation’s great leader, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who passed away this morning, 27 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to July 12, 2026, at the age of 74.”
