DHAMAR, July 10 (YPA) – The Seismological and Volcanological Observatory Center in Dhamar Governorate announced on Friday that a new earthquake had struck northeastern Lahj province.
According to the center’s bulletin, the tremor occurred at 9:03 p.m. on Thursday, measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale and at a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.
The earthquake marks the second such tremor to hit the area within just two weeks.
A similar earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in the same area at the end of June, near Al-Anad area in Tuban district.
