Sanaa government presents Saudi Arabia with two options, and no third
SANAA, July 07 (YPA) – The Sanaa government has sent a new message to Riyadh, urging the Saudi regime to reconsider its aggression and blockade of Yemen before it is too late, and hinting at the possibility of war if it does not respond.
This came in a new statement by Lieutenant General Jalal al-Rowishan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Sanaa government for Defense and Security Affairs, who said: “Saudi Arabia must reconsider its calculations regarding the aggression and blockade against Yemen.”
Lieutenant General al-Rowishan stressed that what Saudi Arabia failed to achieve in ten years of military confrontation, it will not achieve by resorting to tactics related to the blockade and keeping the country in a state of neither war nor peace.
He pointed out that the Yemeni people are fed up and see the continuation of the military confrontation as far easier than remaining in this state of neither war nor peace, while praising Iran’s initiative towards Yemen and its support for lifting the blockade.
Lieutenant General al-Rowishan concluded his message to Riyadh, “The Yemeni people are not incapable of continuing the confrontation for another ten years, and it is impossible for us to accept the continuation of this situation.”
