Sanaa discusses with ICRC latest developments in prisoners’ file, anticipated release

SANAA, July 01 (YPA) – The Deputy Foreign Minister in the Sanaa government, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, discussed on Wednesday with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Sanaa, Christine Schiphol, the latest developments related to the prisoners’ file and the ongoing preparations for the anticipated release operation.

During the meeting, Abu Ras received a briefing from Schiphol on the progress of preparations for the prisoner release, reiterating Sanaa’s appreciation for the ICRC’s role in this matter.

He affirmed Sanaa’s commitment to implementing the agreement on the ground and providing the necessary facilitations to ensure the success of the prisoner release.

For her part, Schiphol affirmed the ICRC’s continued commitment to providing all possible support to the Yemeni people, praising the ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant government agencies.
