RAMALLAH, June 24 (YPA) –Israeli occupation authorities have seized 464.4 dunums of land belonging to the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, after designating the area as “state land,” for colonial expansion purposes.
The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said on Wednesday that Israeli occupation authorities have intensified measures aimed at consolidating colonial control over Palestinian land by declaring 464.4 dunums in Sinjil as “state land.”
The decision directly targets the area on which the colonial outpost of Givat Haroeh, now known as Karmei Oz, was established in 1998.
The commission noted that on December 11, 2025, the Israeli government decided to convert the Givat Haroeh outpost into an independent colony, retroactively.
It explained that the “state land” declaration covers the entire area occupied by the colonial outpost, located between the colonies of Shilo to the east and Ma’ale Levona to the west, on both sides of Route 60.
The measure is intended to create a contiguous geographical corridor linking the components of the so-called “Shilo settlement bloc” by connecting the outpost to surrounding colonies, thereby further consolidating Israeli control over large areas of Palestinian land in the region.
