OCCUPIED QUDS, June 21 (YPA) – The General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions strongly condemned, in a press statement on Sunday, the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to deny a Greek trade union delegation entry to the State of Palestine.
The delegation members were detained and interrogated for long hours at Tel Aviv airport, despite accepting an official invitation to participate in a solidarity visit with the Palestinian labor movement.
The “General Federation” deemed this measure a flagrant violation of human rights and trade union freedoms, aimed at isolating the Palestinian people and their institutions from the international community.
It called upon the European Union, as well as international trade union and human rights organizations, to pressure the occupation to halt its violations against international delegations and solidarity activists.
