Haaretz: Iran file considers as second major failure for Netanyahu after October 7

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 16 (YPA) -The military analyst in Israeli Haaretz Newspaper, Amos Harel, considered the Iran file to be the second major failure in Netanyahu’s career after the failure of October 7, 2023.

Harel explained that the Gaza war did not eliminate Hamas and did not achieve the “absolute victory” that Netanyahu promised, while the results of the confrontation with Iran appear disappointing from Israel’s perspective, and ending the war on the current terms does not bode well for any Israeli.

He pointed out that Trump is strongly pushing to end the war and withdraw American forces, and that the proposed agreement will only achieve a small part of the expectations promoted by Netanyahu.

He also warned that the dispute between Netanyahu and Trump may expand to include the Lebanese front as well.

These analyses come amid sharp criticism of Netanyahu’s handling of the war with Iran, and the American-Iranian agreement is considered an insult to him.

Previously, Israeli media reported widespread disappointment in Tel Aviv, and officials acknowledged a severe crisis with Washington, which is believed to have yielded to Iranian demands regarding Lebanon.
