Lebanon’s resistance shoots down Israeli reconnaissance drone

BEIRUT, June 11 (YPA) – The Lebanese resistance declared on Thursday it shot down an Israeli occupation’s Heron-1” reconnaissance drone over the Nahla area in the Bekaa region of southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the resistance said the drone was directly targeted using a missile strike.

The statement said the resistance fighters also carried out a series of coordinated operations targeting the occupation’s troop movements, military vehicles, and newly established positions along the front lines.

In simultaneous operations, the fighters fired two drone strikes at the occupation troops on the town of Al-Adaysah, where it targeted the “Jal al-Donkey” site. They also struck an artillery position and nearby ammunition vehicle in the same area, while pursuing a group of Israeli soldiers attempting to retreat from a military vehicle near a newly established position.

The operations further extended to armored units, with a drone striking a Merkava tank on the Safa al-Hawa road in Bint Jbeil, causing a direct hit.

The statement added that additional coordinated strikes targeted a Hummer vehicle and another Merkava tank in the Khilat al-Raj area of Deir Siryan, in parallel with continued attacks aimed at disrupting Israeli occupation’s movements and supply lines.
