Number of martyrs in Israeli aggression on Gaza rises to 72,991

GAZA, June 11 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received seven injuries in the past 24 hours as a result of Israeli shelling.

In its daily statement, the ministry explained that the death toll since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11 has risen to 981 martyrs and 3,111 injuries, in addition to the recovery of 783 bodies from under the rubble.

The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,991 martyrs and 173,219 injured.

“Many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them,” the ministry added.

For the 245th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which came into effect in October 2025 after more than two years of genocidal war.

Since dawn today, Thursday, the occupation forces have committed 8 new violations of the “Gaza truce” in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, including artillery shelling and gunfire that resulted in the death of one citizen and the injury of others.
