TEHRAN, June 06 (YPA) – Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Senator Mohsin Raza Naqvi, is scheduled to arrive in Tehran on Saturday for an official visit, Iran’s state-run news agency (IRNA) reported.
Citing a diplomatic source in Islamabad, IRNA noted that Minister Naqvi will depart from Lahore shortly after returning from Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek, he attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Interior Ministers’ meeting, where he held bilateral talks with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni.
The upcoming visit is part of an ongoing series of high-level diplomatic exchanges between Islamabad and Tehran. Naqvi has traveled to Iran multiple times this year, beginning in April alongside Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, followed by subsequent visits in late May and early June.
During his recent missions to Tehran, Naqvi engaged in high-profile deliberations with top Iranian leadership, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, focusing on regional security and bilateral cooperation.
