Hamas delegation arrives in Cairo for new round of ceasefire talks

EGYPT, June 05 (YPA) – A Hamas delegation, headed by Gaza-based movement leader Khalil al-Hayya, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Friday to participate in a new round of negotiations scheduled to begin on Saturday and continue for several days.

According to a statement issued by the movement, the delegation also includes Zaher Jabarin and Political Bureau members Hossam Badran and Ghazi Hamad.

The delegation is expected to hold talks with Egyptian officials and mediators aimed at advancing the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, addressing ongoing Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip, and discussing mechanisms for moving forward with the second phase of the agreement.

The visit will also include meetings with Palestinian factions and political forces to coordinate positions on key national issues and strengthen a unified Palestinian approach to current challenges.
