Groups of Zionist settlers break into Solomon’s pools south of Bethlehem

QUDS, June 05 (YPA) – A group of Zionist settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, stormed the Solomon’s Pools tourist area located between the town of Al-Khader and the village of Artas, south of Bethlehem, on Friday.

According to local sources, the settlers entered the site, closed the area, and performed religious rituals at the historic pools for the second time in less than 24 hours.

The area has witnessed an increase in settler incursions and activities in recent days, including a visit by Bezalel Smotrich and several members of the occupation’s Knesset.

Local reports also cited incidents involving hikers being confronted and prevented from accessing the site.

Solomon’s Pools, a historic and archaeological landmark, includes several heritage structures and is considered one of the most prominent cultural sites in the Bethlehem area.

Separately, the settlers reportedly attacked Palestinian vehicles south of Nablus at dawn on Friday, throwing stones at cars traveling near the village of Qusra, the town of Aqraba, and the Zaatara junction.

Local reports added that Israeli forces carried out more than 1,200 raids and incursions across cities, towns, and refugee camps in the West Bank during May, including operations that reportedly involved damage to homes and private property.
