Iran launches missiles, drones toward US destroyers in Sea of Oman

TEHRAN, June 05 (YPA) – The Iranian military declared on Friday the launch of missiles and warning drones towards two US aggressor destroyers in the sea of Oman that were behind the Naval harassment.

The Iranian military, in a statement published by the Fars news agency, said that “in the framework of continuing operations to counter hostile acts, naval harassment, detention of merchant ships and oil tankers by the US Navy, and following the launch of Qader warning missiles and the new Shahid Dana attack drones of the Iranian army’s naval forces, the US destroyers DDG-103 and DDG-87 left the sea of Oman heading towards the Indian Ocean.

“As a result of this operation and the operations carried out over the past days, the amphibious assault landing ship Tripoli was also forced to leave the sea of Oman, along with the American destroyers operating within the George W. Bush aircraft carrier group and the US Naval Forces Command Center, which were behind the acts of inconvenience and disruption of trade and maritime security in the region, “he added.

The Command and Control Center for the operations of the Iranian naval forces stressed the need for the American-Zionist enemy to stop piracy and naval hostilities.

He stressed that despite the enemy ships moving away from the range of the missiles used in the operation, the Iranian naval forces will resort to the use of long-range missiles when needed.
