US House approves resolution to end Iran war

WASHINGTON, June 04 (YPA) – The US House of Representatives has passed a resolution to end the military operations waged by President Donald Trump’s administration against Iran, a move that reflects growing congressional opposition to military escalation.

The resolution was approved by a 215–208 vote, as four Republican representatives (Thomas Massie, Brian Fitzpatrick, Tom Garrett, and Warren Davidson) broke party lines to join the Democratic majority in supporting the bill, defying the traditional partisan divide in the House.

The resolution aims to restrict the President’s authority to continue military operations without legislative authorization.

The vote deals a political blow to the Trump administration, with Democrats successfully rallying Republican votes despite the ruling party’s majority in the chamber.

The resolution now moves to the Senate. If passed—which remains unlikely—analysts expect President Trump to deploy his veto power to block it.
