Sanaa calls for mass participation in ‘Yom al-Wilayah’ rallies

SANAA, June 04 (YPA) – The Organizing Committee for Public Events has called for massive public participation in rallies scheduled for Thursday morning and afternoon to commemorate “Yom al-Wilayah” (the Day of Wilayah), which marks the succession of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, in the capital and several other provinces.

In Sanaa, the committee specified four main locations for men’s gatherings on Thursday morning: Military College Square, Tahrir Square, New Sanaa University, and the eastern grounds of Al-Shaab Mosque. The Military College Square has also been designated as the venue for a women’s event on Thursday afternoon.

In Hodeida Province, the committee urged residents to participate in large-scale rallies scheduled for Thursday afternoon and evening at designated public squares across the governorate.

The Organizing Committee emphasized the importance of active participation, stating that the mass turnout reflects the deep religious significance of the occasion and demonstrates broad popular commitment to its commemoration.
