BEIRUT, June 03 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces intensified military operations in Lebanon, in what is described as a continued violation of the ceasefire and de-escalation agreement, carrying out air and artillery strikes alongside ground incursions in southern Lebanon, including the demolition and detonation of residential buildings.
The occupation has also continued issuing evacuation warnings for additional villages and towns.
According to he Lebanese National News Agency, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike shortly after midnight on the town of Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, killing one civilian in an initial toll.
The agency added that Israeli aircraft also carried out a separate raid overnight on the town of Majdel Selm.
A medic from the “Al-Risala” Health Ambulance Association was killed in the town of Arabsalim in Nabatieh district following a drone strike targeting the Al-Ain neighborhood, while another strike hit the Al-Labana neighborhood in the same town.
Moreover, Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed five people and wounded 48, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The casualties included a doctor and medical staff at Tebnine Governmental Hospital, which sustained severe damage in an escalating series of attacks on healthcare infrastructure in the region.
The cumulative death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression from March 2 to June 2 has reached: 3,468 martyrs and 10,577 wounded.
