BEIRUT, June 03 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces suffered significant losses on Tuesday following a series of precision strikes carried out by the Lebanese resistance (Hezbollah) using explosive-laden drones.
The strikes reportedly wounded at least eight soldiers after targeting military gatherings along combat axes in southern Lebanon.
Hebrew media sources reported that two drones struck separate military units operating in combat zones, prompting large-scale evacuation operations.
Military helicopters were deployed to transport the wounded to hospitals inside “Israel”.
The developments came shortly after the Israeli army announce the injury of two soldiers in a similar attack.
The incident comes less than 24 hours after a captain in the Givati Brigade, Ori Yosef Silvester, 30, and a military medic were killed, while seven other soldiers — including two officers and fighter were seriously wounded in a drone strike in the area, according to the Palestine Online website.
The mounting casualties—particularly those resulting from Hezbollah’s explosive drones and combat encounters in southern Lebanon—have triggered deep concerns within the Israeli military establishment and the country’s political leadership
Hebrew media reports pointed to growing concern among Israeli military commanders over the increasing effectiveness of Hezbollah’s drone capabilities, amid persistent difficulties faced by air defense systems in detecting, intercepting, and preventing the drones from accurately hitting targets within operational areas.
