Pro-Palestinian activists protest Israeli real estate exhibition in Manhattan

NEW YORK, June 01 (YPA) – Hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists demonstrated in front of a Manhattan hotel in New York City, protesting an Israeli real estate exhibition designed to promote residential and investment projects in occupied Quds (Jerusalem). The organizers were accused of contributing to the promotion of settlement activity and marketing properties on occupied Palestinian land.

The event was attended by Israeli officials and companies. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and held banners demanding an end to what they described as the “sale of stolen Palestinian land.”

Participants emphasized that this was not the first time similar events had been held in the United States.

They pointed to a series of real estate exhibitions and promotional activities held in recent years in New York and other American cities, aimed at attracting investors and buyers to Israeli projects, including those located in settlements considered illegal under international law by the United Nations and most countries of the world.

Last May also saw similar protests outside synagogues and centers that hosted events promoting Israeli real estate in New York and Brooklyn.

Palestinian activists view these events as part of a broader policy aimed at entrenching Israeli control over Palestinian land and encouraging settlement expansion.

The protesters argue that the continued organization of these activities within the United States reflects a disregard for human rights and international demands to halt settlement construction and end policies that lead to the displacement of Palestinians from their land.
