GAZA, MAY 31 (YPA) – Palestinian sources announced on Sunday the death of citizen Saeed Fayez Shamali, who succumbed to wounds sustained in a previous Israeli bombardment targeting the vicinity of Firas Market in central Gaza City.
This comes amid ongoing Israeli occupation violations of the ceasefire agreement (signed on October 11 under US, Qatari, and Egyptian mediation), which include targeting residential areas and the continued closure of the Rafah border crossing.
According to official data, the death toll from Israeli violations since the start of the truce has risen to 929 martyrs, with 2,811 injured.
Meanwhile, the cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023, has reached 72,938 martyrs and 172,919 injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
