BEIRUT, May 31 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health declared on Sunday that 13 staff members at Hiram Hospital in the southern city of Tyre were injured following an Israeli occupation airstrike near the medical facility.
In a statement carried by Lebanon’s National News Agency, the ministry affirmed that the strike caused injuries among hospital personnel and inflicted significant additional damage to the hospital, which had already sustained damage from previous occupation attacks.
It praised the dedication of the hospital’s medical and administrative staff, saying they continue to provide services despite the risks posed by ongoing hostilities.
The ministry also renewed its appeal to the international community to take action to halt what it described as escalating occupation attacks, stressing the need to uphold international humanitarian law and relevant international norms and resolutions.
