11 killed, 15 others injured in Israeli airstrike on Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley

BEIRUT, May 26 (YPA) –Lebanon’s Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that 11 people were killed and 15 others injured in an Israeli airstrike massacre in the town of Mashghara in eastern Lebanon.

In a statement carried by Lebanon’s National News Agency, the ministry said that “the Israeli enemy’s airstrike yesterday on the town of Mashghara in the western Bekaa killed at least 11 people, including two girls and a woman, and injured 15 others, including a child.”

The ministry added that rescue teams were still working to remove rubble from the site.

The attacks came amid continued Israeli violations of the fragile ceasefire announced on April 17 and extended Friday for an additional 45 days until early July.

Since March 2, “Israel” has carried out a large-scale offensive on Lebanon that has killed 3,185 people and wounded 9,633 others, while displacing more than 1.6 million people, according to Lebanese official figures.
