Zionist forces detain 23 Palestinians in West Bank, Quds (Jerusalem) raids

WEST BANK, May 20 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign early Wednesday across several areas of the occupied West Bank and occupied Quds (Jerusalem), detaining at least 23 Palestinians, including former prisoners.

According to Palestinian local sources cited by the Snd News Agency, occupation forces stormed the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Quds, carrying out extensive raids on dozens of homes, where residents were subjected to field interrogations. During the operation, 18 young men were arrested.

The sources added that an Israeli special forces unit arrested a young Palestinian man after raiding his home in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, while another man was detained following a raid on his home in the village of Arrana, northeast of Jenin.

The agency also reported that Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian resident after storming his home in the Rafidia neighborhood west of Nablus, while another young man was detained from his home in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus.

In Qalqilya, an undercover Israeli unit reportedly infiltrated the city and arrested a former prisoner inside a local café.

The occupied West Bank has seen near-daily Israeli military raids, including arrests and house searches, frequently accompanied by property damage and attacks on Palestinian residents.
