Gaza Health Ministry: Thousands of patients, wounded in Strip are still waiting for permission to travel

GAZA, May 19 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that thousands of patients and wounded people on the waiting lists for travel for treatment abroad are still waiting for permission to leave.

It explained that only 29 patients left today through the Rafah crossing, and 20 others left yesterday to Jordanian hospitals, stressing that these numbers do not meet the urgent need amid the worsening health crisis and difficult humanitarian conditions.

The ministry called on the relevant authorities to expedite medical evacuation procedures and enable patients to reach specialized hospitals outside the sector safely.
