Official holiday announced in Sanaa for May 22 national day

SANAA, May 19 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development declared on Tuesday that Saturday, May 23, 2026, will be an official holiday.

In a statement, the ministry extended congratulations to employees of state institutions, as well as the public and mixed sectors, on the occasion of Yemen’s 36th National Day, marking May 22.

The statement said the holiday was moved to Saturday as the official anniversary falls on Friday, May 22.
