Israeli shelling, gunfire continue across Gaza Strip

GAZA, May 17 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks and violations of the ceasefire across several areas of the Gaza Strip over the past hours, carrying out artillery shelling and heavy gunfire targeting eastern and southern parts of the enclave.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli artillery struck eastern and southern areas of Khan Younis, while Israeli military vehicles stationed near the border east and south of the city opened heavy fire.

The eastern areas of Al-Bureij refugee camp also came under intense artillery bombardment, causing fear and panic among residents.

In Gaza City, Israeli naval boats fired toward the city’s coastline, though no injuries were immediately reported.
