BEIRUT, May 11 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation military launched airstrikes and artillery shelling early Monday targeting several towns in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Centre, affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health, said on Sunday that the overall death toll from the Israeli attacks had risen to 2,846 people, with 8,693 others wounded since the escalation began on March 2.
Lebanese media reported that artillery shelling targeted the town of Mifadoun, while Israeli warplanes carried out strikes on the town of Toul in southern Lebanon.
Israeli strikes also targeted the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif and the outskirts of Shoukin, while artillery shelling hit the outskirts of Kfartebnit and Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon.
On Sunday, five Lebanese people, including paramedics, were killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced that it targeted an Israeli force inside a house using a drone in the Bidar al-Faqani area in the town of Taybeh in southern Lebanon.
The group added that it targeted the same Israeli force in the area for a third time with another drone strike.
