Pezeshkian: Targeting cultural, archaeological sites indicates enemies’ destructive approach

TEHRAN, May 08 (YPA) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian considered the attack on the country’s heritage and archaeological sites a violation of international principles and standards and an indication of the enemies’ destructive approach towards the cultural identity of peoples.

During a visit to the Sa’dabad Cultural and Heritage Complex in the capital, Tehran, on Friday, Pezeshkian stressed the need to document and pursue the damage caused by these attacks legally and before international forums and organizations, according to the official Iranian news agency.

He directed that the reconstruction and restoration of the damaged parts of the Sa’dabad Complex begin in the shortest possible time, and that all relevant specialized and technical capabilities be utilized and followed up with the necessary precision and quality.
