“Handala Group” launches massive cyberattack on thousands of Zionists via WhatsApp

OCCUPIED QUDA, April 28 (YPA) – Thousands of Zionists received threatening messages via the WhatsApp application in what has been described as the most extensive cyberattack recently, in a new escalation of the digital “shadow war”.

“The Jerusalem Post” newspaper reported that hackers utilized compromised “business accounts” to lend credibility to the threats directed at settlers.

The messages included a direct attack on Benjamin Netanyahu and explicit warnings of an imminent missile strike, calling on Zionist settlers and occupation forces to prepare for a “barrage of Sayyed Majid missiles” and to stockpile supplies for weeks in shelters.

The messages bore the signature of the “Handala Group,” which wide estimates suggest operates under the supervision of Iranian intelligence.

The attack relied on employing “elements of digital trust” to sow panic within the home front, moving beyond technical damage to achieve a broad psychological impact.

This attack reflects the evolving tactics of electronic confrontation, placing the “security establishment” before a growing challenge regarding the vulnerability of the home front to repeated breaches.
