Death toll from Israeli genocide in Gaza mounts to 72,593

GAZA, April 27 (YPA) –At least 72,593 Palestinians have been killed and 172,399 others wounded as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

The Gaza-based Ministry of Health said in its latest daily update on Monday that hospitals recorded seven fatalities and 18 injuries within the past 24 hours.

It further noted that since the ceasefire declared on October 11, a total of 817 people have been killed by Israeli occupation fire, while 2,296 others have been injured. The number of bodies recovered during the same period has reached 762.

The ministry confirmed that a large number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them.
