WASHINGTON, April 22 (YPA) – US Capitol Police arrested a large group of “About Face: Veterans Against the War” members following a protest inside the Cannon Rotunda against the war being waged by the United States and “Israel” against Iran.
Protesters wore military uniforms and carried signs reading “Stop the War on Iran” and “We Can’t Afford Another War.”
The arrests included veterans with disabilities using crutches and wheelchairs, sparking backlash on social media.
The demonstration began with a moment of silence for fallen soldiers before police moved in to handcuff and detain the participants.
