Civil defense extinguishes shop fire in Sanaa, no casualties reported

SANAA, April 21 (YPA) – Civil defense teams in Sanaa province on Tuesday extinguished a fire that broke out in a commercial shop in Al-Maqaleh neighborhood, within Sinhan district, near the martyred commander Abu Harb Al-Malsi Hospital.

A source from Civil Defense said crews responded immediately after receiving the report, successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading. The incident caused partial material damage but no casualties were reported.

The source added that the fire erupted inside a closed shop consisting of two units, likely due to an electrical short circuit. Authorities urged shop owners and residents to follow safety guidelines, regularly inspect electrical systems, and switch off main power sources when leaving premises to minimize risks.
