Casualties reported in Gaza amid ongoing Israeli ceasefire violations

GAZA, April 20 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement for the 193rd consecutive day across various areas of the Gaza Strip, as one Palestinian was killed and several others were injured on Monday in Israeli drone strikes.

According to the sources, Israeli airstrikes targeted the entrance to Al-Bureij camp and an area near the “17 Roundabout” on Al-Rashid Street, west of Gaza City.

An additional Israeli strike reportedly hit Gaza, while artillery shelling targeted eastern parts of the city.

In the southern Gaza Strip, the same sources said Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis, with renewed artillery shelling reported in the area alongside heavy drone activity across the enclave.

In central Gaza, artillery shelling  struck eastern areas of Al-Bureij camp, the sources added.

Earlier in the day, one person was killed in a drone strike targeting a group of civilians at the entrance to Al-Bureij camp.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, the total number of fatalities has risen to 72,551, with 172,274 injure, according to Gaza Ministry of Health.
