ADEN, April 15 (YPA) – The General Federation of Trade Unions in Aden city issued on Wednesday a final three-day deadline for the Saudi-backed government to address urgent humanitarian and labor demands, warning against the “unprecedented and catastrophic” decline in living conditions.
In an official statement, the federation demanded the immediate payment of all overdue salaries and frozen financial increments without delay. It also called for radical and immediate solutions to the crumbling public services, specifically the electricity sector, as the summer season begins.
The federation held the government fully accountable for the ongoing economic collapse and “reckless policies,” asserting that workers’ patience has reached its limit and that further procrastination will no longer be tolerated.
