Three tremors hit Yafea in Lahj, earthquake center reveals details
DHAMAR, April 10 (YPA) – The head of the Seismological and Volcanological Observatory Center in Dhamar Governorate revealed details on Friday about the earthquakes that struck the Labous area in the Yafea district of Lahj Governorate, southern Yemen.
The center’s director, Engineer Mohammed Hussein al-Houthi, explained that monitoring stations recorded three earthquakes in the Labous area of Yafea. He stated that the first tremor occurred at 1:09 AM with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale.
He indicated that the second, lighter tremor occurred at 11:51 AM with a magnitude of 1.8, followed by another light tremor in the same area with a magnitude of 1.5.
