Iran warns region will turn “into hell” if attacks against infrastructure escalate

TEHRAN, April 05 (YPA) -Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned Israeli enemy and the United States that the region would “become hell” if attacks against Iranian infrastructure escalate.

Speaking publicly, spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari said “The illusion of defeating the Islamic Republic of Iran will become a quagmire for your downfall.”

Following a Reuters report citing an Israeli military official on preparations to target Iranian energy facilities, sources close to Iran’s decision-making circles said—according to Tasnim News Agency—that two major Israeli power plants have been added to the target bank of the joint operations room of the “Axis of Resistance.”

In response, sources close to Iranian decision-making centers, cited by Tasnim News Agency, said two major power stations supplying electricity in Israel had been added to the target list of what they described as a joint operations room for the “Axis of Resistance.”

The sources said the move falls within a policy of “reciprocal response” and signals full readiness to retaliate against any threats to Iran’s critical infrastructure.

Earlier, the spokesperson said threats by Donald Trump against Iranian infrastructure reflected “confusion and desperation,” stressing that Iran’s armed forces would not hesitate to defend national interests and protect strategic assets.

He added that any attack would be met with a firm response targeting infrastructure used by US forces and “Israel”, warning that retaliation would be “unrestricted,” involving sustained and “devastating” strikes.

Zolfaghari also said that measures announced since the start of what he called the “imposed war” had been implemented on the ground, cautioning that continued escalation could open the “gates of hell” for enemies .
