Iran shoots down MQ-9 drone near Isfahan

TEHRAN, March 31 (YPA) – Iran’s armed forces said its air defenses shot down an MQ-9 drone near Isfahan, describing it as belonging to the US-Israeli “aggressor enemy”.

In a statement carried by Tasnim news agency, military public relations officials said the drone was intercepted and destroyed earlier on Tuesday, marking the 146th drone downed by Iran.

The MQ-9 Reaper drone, widely used for surveillance and strikes, costs roughly $30m per unit.
