Hamas: Israeli strikes on Khan Younis police sites continuing crime, urges urgent int’l action

GAZA, March 29 (YPA) – Hamas Movement on Sunday condemned Israeli military strikes on civilian police posts in the Gaza Strip, which it said killed nine police officers and civilians and injured several others.

The casualties reportedly resulted from airstrikes targeting two police locations in the city of Khan Younis.

In a news statement, Hamas said the attacks were part of ongoing crimes the Israeli occupation’s government committed against Palestinians in Gaza, and an extension of a broader campaign that aims to spread chaos and hinder efforts to restore normal life in the territory.

The statement urged the international community and countries guaranteeing the Gaza ceasefire agreement to take immediate action to halt the violations by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

It also called for pressure to stop attacks on civilians and civilian institutions, ensure accountability, and take meaningful steps to ease the humanitarian situation and support recovery efforts in Gaza.
