“Al-Mahrami” blocks “Al-Alimi’s” return to Aden with Saudi coordination

ADEN, March 23 (YPA) – Media sources revealed on Monday that Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and commander of the “Al-Amaliqa Brigades,” has prevented the council’s President Rashad Al-Alimi from returning to Aden city, to host Eid al-Fitr celebrations at Al-Maashiq Presidential Palace.

According to the reports, Saudi authorities informed Al-Alimi of the directive following a request from Al-Mahrami.

This development comes amid rumors of secret Saudi arrangements to position Al-Mahrami as a primary leader in the south.

Sources suggest that this move coincides with ongoing internal rifts within the Council and increased coordination between Al-Mahrami and Tariq Saleh, potentially signaling a major shift in the political and military landscape of southern Yemen.
