Sanaa FM urges regional countries to respond to US President’s statements
SANAA, March 19 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sanaa, Abdul Wahid Abu Rass, affirmed on Thursday that US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the involvement of certain regional countries in crimes against Islamic peoples in Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine requires these nations to clarify their positions and respond officially and transparently.
Abu Rass explained that the current developments have taken the region in a new direction, noting that Almighty Allah will shape the outcome of these events, creating a markedly different reality.
He emphasized that those who believed the conflict was solely with Israeli enemy, or that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alone was responsible, are mistaken. He noted that Trump’s involvement in the conflict reflected a flawed assessment, the consequences of which would affect how events were addressed.
Abu Rass described the United States and Israel enemy as “two sides of the same coin,” characterizing the ongoing struggle as their joint endeavor and tools of Zionism. He referred to the US as the “Great Satan,” asserting that all strategic policies in the region should be formulated based on this understanding.
He further highlighted the call by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi for all regional countries to coordinate and cooperate in facing these risks, describing it as the only viable path to prevent the region from further descending into a conflict driven by the American and Israeli agenda—one that even their Western allies have abandoned.
Regarding the perpetrators among Jews and Zionists, Abu Rass stated: “Let them rejoice for now, but they will face their inevitable downfall, as promised by God. Their arrogance and corruption today only confirm this. If their beliefs truly inspired confidence and resolve, the most religious among them (the Haredim) would be the boldest in battle and at the forefront.”
He stressed that the current struggle was a battle for the entire nation, between the forces of truth, justice, and faith present in the region, and the forces of falsehood, evil, and disbelief, represented by America, Israeli enemy, and the agents of hypocrisy.
