Sudden tremor measuring 2.5 on Richter scale hits Taiz

TAIZ, March 11 (YPA) – The National Center for Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring in Dhamar announced Wednesday evening that an earthquake was recorded in Taiz Governorate, located in southern Yemen.

The center’s daily bulletin confirmed that its monitoring stations recorded an earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale at 7:43 PM.

The bulletin indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 10 kilometers east of the city of Taiz.
