Al-Hayya calls on Pakistan to support Palestinian resilience

GAZA, March 08 (YPA) -Amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and threats to the Aqsa Mosque, Hamas Movement emphasized the historic role of the Islamic nation in protecting Palestine and supporting the steadfastness of its people.

Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas Movement in Gaza, called on the Islamic nation, its charitable institutions, and scholars to shoulder their responsibilities in supporting Palestinian resilience and accelerating the reconstruction of Gaza, so as to remain “a steadfast fortress for the nation on the path to liberation.”

In a recorded speech at the general meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan on Sunday, al-Hayya warned of the grave dangers facing the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, including incursions and attempts to impose temporal and spatial division.

He noted that the “Aqsa Flood” battle marked a historic shift in global awareness, helped break the Zionist narrative, expanded international solidarity with Palestine, and opened the door to unity of the Islamic nation in confronting looming dangers.

Al-Hayya expressed Hamas’s deep appreciation for Pakistan’s leadership, people, and army, recalling the stance of the state’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who affirmed since Pakistan’s establishment the Palestinians’ right to their land and rejected any legitimacy for occupation over any part of Palestine.

He also highlighted the role of scholar Muhammad Iqbal in cementing Pakistan’s Islamic identity and linking it to the causes of the Muslim nation, stressing that Palestine is “an Islamic endowment and the property of the entire nation,” awaiting Pakistan’s historic role in the liberation march and in supporting Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Hayya reaffirmed that “Hamas will never recognize the Zionist entity (Israel),” and asserted that the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance have thwarted the occupation’s objectives since the beginning of its aggression on Gaza.

In a related context, a Hamas delegation led by Marwan Abu Ras met with Ali al-Qaradaghi, president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, as well as leaders of Islamic groups and parties from participating countries and several Kashmiri leaders.
